The Power of the Schmooze

Schmoozing, as defined by Dictionary.com is the ability "to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection."  When it comes to blogging, schmoozing is your ticket to making new friends, getting yourself noticed and building a reputation.  Some blogger’s are gifted with the ability to effectively schmooze and others not so much.

Personally I think I fall into the "others not so much category, but my friend Squirrel seems to think differently and has bestowed upon me the Schmooze award.  I think I’m a geek because like Squirrel, I have more internet friends than I do real life friends.

Now for the Schmooze rules:

  1. If, and only if, you get the Thinking Blogger Award or The Power of Schmooze Award, write a post with links that make you think, or have schmoozed you into submission.

Now, my pick of five of the best Schmoozers, intentional or not you have successfully Schmoozed me into submission!:

  1. The Sassy Southerner – Sassy speaks her mind and tells it like it is.  Plus she posts several times a day and keeps me entertained and like me she marches to her own drummer.
  2. The Life of a School Bus Driver – Jennifer is down to earth and posts about her entire day whether it be boring or eventful.  Plus she has the cutest blond haired little girl.  If it weren’t for Jennifer posting about the Window’s Live Writer I would have to do all my posts in a normal boring font.
  3. Mom Is Nutz – Kelli is a hoot!  She has three kids that give her grief all the time plus she does the Freebie Friday posts and I like getting free stuff.
  4. Shelli’s Sentiments – Shelli’s a real sweetheart.  I had read her blog for over a year before she enticed me out to post a comment.  I am so glad that I finally commented.
  5. Friglet – With four kids she always has something funny going on.  Plus she posts picture’s of her Willie some times.  Get your mind out of the gutter, Willie is her gnome.
